Black Girls Brunch hosts successful SOLD OUT D.C. Experience during #CBCWeekend
Black Girls Brunch takes #CBCweekend with Chandon in Washington, D.C. at Brooklyn On U
Washington, DC- This past weekend marked the 16th installment of Black Girls Brunch: DC Edition, the first national brunch held outside of Phoenix, Arizona. The SOLD OUT experience was held in the heart of the District at Brooklyn Restaurant and Lounge on U Street (1212 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009) on Sunday September 15, 2019 from 12pm- 4pm EST.
The DC Edition was able to attract more than 100 Black Women, both locally and from across the country. The brunch experience, led by entrepreneur and HBCU graduate Gaybrielle LeAnn Gant, seeks to provide a safe and inclusive space for black women to connect, celebrate and collaborate while building community through sisterhood.
This brunch event featured an elevated experience with major sponsorship from top global brands. ChandonUSA was the presenting sponsor for the event, providing guests with an open Rose Bar experience. The event’s official Beauty Sponsor was Miss Jessie’s, which supplied guests with a gift bag, sample hair products in addition, guests received sponsored beauty products from Palmer’s, Pink Root Products, Eden Body Works, Natalia Me-gan Hair & Beauty, and Monrovian Beauty.
Black Girls Brunch is known for delivering an exclusive brunch experience for Black Women, in collaboration with highly regarded local restaurants that provide superb quality food and drinks. Brooklyn on U delivered on providing a bottomless mimosas option, brunch favorites such as shrimp and grits and chicken with waffles, and a chic setting with neon light signs and hedge walls to set the stage for such an event. The team curated the space in true BGB style with fresh flowers on each table and a custom stemless champagne flute. Rikkie Tee, the Black Girls Brunch resident DJ, curated the musical vibes for the event.
